Low & Ultra Low Temperature Refrigeration

Ultra low temperature refrigerators are needed for the storage of specimens in various fields of biomedical research and medicine, particularly pathology. To preserve biological samples safely and for cell preservation and storage of blood derivatives, reliable low temperature freezers are necessary, and the LEC range of -85°C ultra low temperature freezers have been specially designed for this purpose.

With fully metallic frames manufactured from phosphate-coated heavy-gauge steel, these freezers can easily be moved as they are mounted on castors. The doors are also made from phosphate-coated heavy-gauge steel and are fitted with gaskets made from silicone rubber. All the models have spring locks to ensure security, and compact models are fitted with self-balancing hinges.

The cold air loss that can occur when an upright ultra low temperature refrigerator is opened is reduced by the anti-shock insulated polystyrene inner doors fitted to the units, and maximum temperature uniformity in the stainless steel internal chamber is ensured by the unique evaporator. The internal chamber has been designed with rounded corners for easy cleaning. Multiple layers of polyurethane foam (CFC-free) provide the insulation, and users have comprehensive control over temperatures via the microprocessor control panel. There is also a temperature display, and visual and audible alarms detect any change in temperature or power failure.

The ultra low temperature refrigerator is available as a chest or in an upright format, with various capacities ranging from 113 to 500 litres. Temperature ranges are either -20 to -45 C or -40 to -85 C, depending on what is required, and all products are usually in stock for rapid free delivery.
