The Whirlpool Omnia AWZ8HP and AWZ9HP use Whirlpool’s Heat Pump Technology combined with their 6th Sense Technology to create an efficient, ventless dryer that cares for your clothes and fabrics.

How It Works

It works by a sealed system compressing Freon Gas to generate heat, eliminating the need for a heater element. A blower then pushes air through a primary followed by a secondary lint filter and then through an Evaporator where the moisture is extracted.

This moisture is either pumped into a reservoir at the top of the dryer or, more conveniently, out through a drain pipe at the rear of the dryer.

Finally, a heat exchanger adds the heat before the warm dry air re-enters the dryer drum. The cycle is then repeated.

Why Use A Heat Pump Dryer?

Using a heat pump is the most energy efficient option from Air Vented, Condenser Dryer and Heat Pump plus the Heat Pump Dryer will typically cause less damage to fabrics as it uses lower temperatures and a gentler drying environment.

Because they are also ventless, it makes them easier to install anywhere and with no ventilation ducts required, it saves having to cut holes in walls or windows or steaming up the room.
